I love candles

I spent $15.00 today on three candles. Wait, no four candles. Why? Because they were on sale. Woe to me and my terrible spending habits!! But I gotta say they make the apartment look so cozy and homey.
I'm pretty sure if i burn down the place it won't be so homey, but at least it will have a fire smell to it...because that was one of the candle smells i was looking into buying. Buuuuut it was a liiiiittle too funky smelling. I passed.
Don't like your apartment? Light a candle and see the atmosphere change like MAGIC! :)

This candle by the way is a DIY orange peel candle. So sweet! Heres the link:

Now i must be excused to make dinner for Jarod...he comes at 6: 30 and I'm going to make this recipe. Looks easy enough:
Bratwurst Stew
6 bratwurst
2 tbsp. shortening
4 med. potatoes, cubed
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can green beans
1 can cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup
1 c. milk
1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
Cut brats into 1/2 inch pieces. Brown in melted shortening in large skillet or Dutch oven. When nicely browned, add potatoes, onion, undiluted soup and milk. Mix well. Cover and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes or until potatoes are done. Before removing from heat, add drained green beans and cheese. Bring just to a boil and let simmer until beans are heated and the cheese is nicely melted and blended into the stew. (You may use polish sausage instead of brats, in which case, no shortening is needed for browning.) Chopped pimento adds color to the stew and is good with either choice of meat.
And I shall cook it to this amazing song i heard on the Bon Iver Pandora station:
